A memorial concert is to be held in Munich, Germany to celebrate the life and work of Russian-Jewish sculptor and printmaker, Moissey Kogan, in this 75th year since his death on 13 February 1943 at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Organised by Badenweiler sculptor, Torsten Kleiner, the memorial concert, Eine wundersame Begegnung – Gedenkstunde zum 75. Todestag von Moissey Kogan, will take place on 22 March 2018 at 19.30 at the Michaelskirche, Leopoldstraße 46B, Schwabing, 80802 Munich.

Readings on the life and work of Moissey Kogan, and insight into Torsten Kleiner’s encounter with Kogan’s working practices and oeuvre, will be accompanied by music from Munich cellist, Manuel Lerschmacher.

Entrance free, donations gratefully received. All welcome.
